- Volleyball Referees – Mr McCallister from OES is looking for 4 students to referee Gr 6/7 games on Tuesday November 14th at 2:45. If you know how to referee volleyball and are able to help, please see Mr Podmorow today.
- Volleyball Coaches – OES is looking for student coaches to help with their volleyball teams. Student-athletes in Gr 9-12 who are interested in helping coach Grade 6/7 volleyball are asked to see Mr Podmorow for more information.
- For any grads wanting help with post-secondary applications there will be a meeting in Room 109B at lunch today.
- Grade 8 girls - interested in playing basketball this season? There will be a meeting in Room 109B at lunch tomorrow. Any girls who are interested in playing but can’t attend the meeting, please see Mrs. Burns.
- Movember is here! Movember is to raise awareness for men’s physical and mental health. The Link Crew is holding a moustache growing contest, if you would like to enter, let Mrs. Pod know asap. Happy Movember y’all!!
- There will be a brief Grade 12 meeting in the library this morning at the start of Block D. Please head to the library after the announcements.
- If you can dodge a wrench, you can dodge a ball. Dodge Ball games today: Game 1 DDD vs SGPQ, Game 2 Chicicabas vs Ashtonvillers. Tuesday play saw SGPQ and Lords of Chaos both win their matches. Come out and watch the teams Dodge Duck Dive and Dodge.
- Welcome home to our returning field hockey Hornets, who played a gutsy final two matches at the Provincials yesterday in West Vancouver. First they took a very hard loss to South Kamloops 1-0 and then faced #2 ranked York House in their final game, and played so well, falling 1-0 again. The team battled and grew and supported each other, and represented SOSS well, coming in 12th overall. Congratulations on a great effort, team!
