  1. Grads – A Prom Food survey and Dry grad survey have been posted on Teams. Voting closes Friday, October 27 so make sure you vote for your choices before it’s too late!

 

  1. Dodgeball starts today schedule is posted by the gym. Team 1 v 4, at 11 20 and team 2 v 3 at 11:35. Come out to watch some duck, dive, dodge ball. 
     
  1. Congratulations to the senior boys soccer team on their great game on Monday.  The boys came to play and performed as a team.  The boys maintained their shape and played a strong team game, being first to the ball, outworking and out battling Maggie.   The team revenged their earlier season loss with a 7 to 1 victory.   Next up is a home game on Wednesday on our field.  A victory on Wednesday would capture the south zone title and bring the Valley championships to Oliver. 

 

  1. The Student Voice Club meets at lunch today in room 207. New members are always welcome to join the club. 

 

  1. Photo retakes are taking place today. Any students who missed picture day or would like retakes should go to the small gym when their grade is called down tomorrow morning. 

  

  1. D&D club this week! Today – Mr. Johnson’s and Ryder’s groups –meet in room 108 at 3pm. Thursday – Emily’s and Kieran’s groups meet where you normally do. New players always welcome. 

 

  1. Today in the Caf it is Flatbread, Ham and Barley Soup and Cobb Salad and tomorrow there is no service as it is Inquiry Day classes are out at 11:55. 

 

  1. GRADS – We are looking for volunteers to help cook and serve breakfast for the school this Thursday, Oct. 26. There is a sign-up sheet outside Mrs. Burns’ room. 

 

  1. New volunteer opportunity – Any Grade 11 or 12 students interested in getting volunteer hours or making some money are encouraged to tutor at Sen Pok Chin’s new math support program.  This program is aimed towards Indigenous high school students seeking extra help. The program will begin on Monday October 30th and run every Monday and Thursday from 3:15 – 5:15 at Sen Pok Chin School.  Students interested in volunteering can contact Emma  Milllward on Teams with questions and availability.  Find the sign-up sheet posted outside Mrs. Burns room.  Deadline for sign up is Friday November 3rd. 

 

  1. Reminder for our Indigenous Grads there is a meeting in the gathering room at lunch today.  
  1. The jrs Field Hockey team won 1-0 versus Maggie yesterday! Great job team! Strong performances were by Audrey Noftle getting us a goal, Vienna von Burg, Florence Klimo, Arpan Gill and Deepika Brar.  The jrs have a home game vs Summerland tomorrow at 4pm.  Come out and cheer them on! 

 

  1. Sr. Girls vball practice today 3-4:30 PM in the big gym. 

 

  1. Anyone who is interested in getting volunteer hours or helping out with a Haunted House this Thurs/Fri, please check your Teams messages or find Ms. Setrakov today or tomorrow.
