  1. Any grads that are working on their portfolios for the Francis Family Scholarships are reminded that the portfolios must be submitted to Mrs Andrews in the office by 2:45 Friday May 17.  No late entries will be accepted.  If you have any questions, please see Ms Laver in room 208. 

 

  1. Attention all tennis team athletes, there is a VERY important meeting in room 118 at the start of lunch. This meeting will determine whether we are going to Tennis Valleys or not. 

 

  1. This week is multicultural week in the cafeteria.  Today in the caf for lunch we will be having Chorizo Chowder Soup & Chicken or Beef Tacos and tomorrow is Thai Salad Rolls (Shrimp or Chicken), Thai Curry Soup, and Mango Ice Cream. 

 

  1. Congratulations to all the students who participated in the Skate art show this Saturday as part of the art walk. We fundraised $575 for the new skate park! 

 

  1. Students going on the trip to Vancouver’s Downtown Eastside.  There is a meeting in Ms. Riordan’s room This Wednesday, May 15th at lunch. 

 

  1. Writing Club after school in Room 206.  Running Club after school on top field. 

 

  1. Looking for a volunteer opportunity? Cops for Kids, an organization that assists children with medical needs, is searching for some volunteers to run carnival games on June 2 from 12:00 3:00 at a family funday fundraiser. For more information please see Mrs. Frank. 

 

  1. Those students who have agreed to help out with the French national anthem on Wednesday, please meet in Room 203 for a brief meeting today at the beginning of lunch. Anyone else interested in joining in is welcome.   

 

  1. Last call for Le Même video – for your 5 seconds of fame, come to room 203 at lunch. We’d love to have some students from 1st semester join us in this amazing production.
