Career and Workplace Education

The change from the classroom to career is often a difficult time in a young persons life. The Work Experience course supports that transition by giving students a competitive edge in the workplace.
Why does a student need Work Experience? What is it useful for?

Work Experience allows students to take up jobs they have interests in, giving students participation and experience in a live workplace. Students will work on how to write a professional looking resume and cover letter; how keeping track of their own progress on a tracking sheet, helping with effectiveness in a workplace; the legal rights an employee and employer has; safety in a workplace; and presenting themselves properly to an employer.
